
According to the National Meteorological Service, strong to very strong winds, rainfall, and showers are expected in the north of the country, including Chihuahua. This forecast will remain in effect until next Wednesday.
The State Civil Protection Coordination in Chihuahua alerted the population of Ciudad Juárez about a sandstorm generated by intense gusts of wind that could cause damage to trees, walls, and billboards. A warning was also issued for drivers traveling on the road from Ciudad Juárez to Chihuahua, especially in the areas of Ahumada and Sueco, due to low visibility caused by dust storms.
Regarding reported incidents, the National Guard reported an accident between two trucks on the street from Casas Grandes to Janos, with only material damages. Winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour were recorded in some areas of Chihuahua.
As a preventive measure, partial closures have been implemented on several road sections due to adverse weather conditions, such as dust storms and low visibility. It is crucial for drivers to take extra precautions and follow the authorities' instructions to ensure their safety in these circumstances.
